Kolejny weekend w śniegu/Another weekend in snow
This weekend was also terrible snowy and we hardly managed to go to the Polonia Theater for Big fish – quite funny comedy of a Polish writer. 2 weeks ago we went to Ilza. I went there after a visit in the Running Rabbit – a café very popular right now in Warsaw due to a political scandal that took place there, to which I dropped to see girls - friends from old good times and check out they lemon tarta which was supposed to be a must have of this place according to Internet recommendations (I need to try to make a similar one myself but I am not going to write more about it as Jacek says that writing about eating is boring). Until now I had even no idea that such a place as Iłża exists and where it is located. It is approximately 20 kilometers from Radom. It is a big cottage or maybe rather a town, deprived, at least during winter, of bigger charms. Thanks God, the history bestowed the town with its grace and on the hill there are remains of a huge bishop’s castle. The best preserved is a tower to which you may and you probably should drop in but surely not during winter as the conception of clearing snow from the staircase is as well abstraction as mathematic. In such a tower there surely should be ghost – I must search for that in the Internet. Radom is rather not very attractive. There are two big churches, including the Saint John’s which is currently renovated in my opinion in not a most successful manner and Bernadine’s with an altar coming from Witt Stwosz school. The city requires big investments, renovation and a fresh breath of life as the Sunday’s morning appeared there to be very sad…. Despite the beautiful snow snowing on the Jesus’ figurine.
