The day started with a trip to Aisklepieion – 4 kilometers following the path to Platani village. Aiskleppieon is an ancient health resort together with a system of temples connected with medicine. It is beautifully located in pine forest, and it astonishes with its terraces. Instead nor Hippocrates garden neither Hippocrates altis brought us to our knees. The second one is a sightseeing point surrounded with modern marble slabs and covered with gravel. We have not managed to go to the garden because it was located in a strange object – Foundation of Kos that looked like a military object. Then we had dinner in ARAP Taverna in the village called Platani, inhabited by a Turkish minority. The cooking did not filled us with admiration but it was not bad. The whole male part of the family served the guests. I had fried zucchini (not very well fried) and saganaki cheese – here I cannot say anything bad about it. Mussaka that Jacek had was made mostly of potatoes:) It was a dramatic lack of aubergine which was really astonishing with respect to mussaka. One general comment – they use little herbs and spices. When you pass the village of Platani towards the capital, there are 2 commentaries. The Arabic commentary with tombstones having the shape of turbans is worth recommendation to a connoisseur of unorganized tourism, unfortunately the Jewish one can be recommended only to exceptional Judaic lovers because it has mostly and exclusively only a fence;) Than we had a first bath in the seat this year. Quite cold so it washed away all the heat accumulated from the morning. Now we are planning to check out our swimming pool – we hope that the mosquitoes will have mercy for us and that the content of chlorine is corresponding with the EU regulations:)
