Stare czy nowe?/Old or new?

Patrząc na ten dzień z perspektywy prawie dwóch miesięcy, muszę powiedzieć, że przyłożyłyśmy się do zwiedzania. Zwiedziłyśmy Narodową Galerię – Pinakotekę, Muzeum Bizantyjskie, Zappeion oraz Stadion Olimpijski. Samotnym turystkom odradzamy za to wizytę w Ogrodach Narodowych – wszystkie przewodniki rozpisują się jak wspaniale odpocząć w cieniu wiekowych drzew, tak, to prawda, pod warunkiem, że jest się wyjątkowym krótkowidzem, ewentualnie ma się nerwy na postronku – liczba ekshibicjonistów na metr kwadratowy za każdym drzewem zatrważa.

Przechodząc do samej Pinakoteki – warte obejrzenia na pewno jest malarstwo lokalnych artystów – Lytrosa i Ghysisa, przy czym mnie osobiście podobał się pierwszy, obrazy Oczekiwanie i Pocałunek. Przed budynkiem Muzeum stoją niesamowite rzeźby nowoczesne. Na głównym placu naprzeciwko Muzeum znajduje się wielki biegacz – trochę zionie komuną, gabaryty, ideologia i materiał, w sumie nawet mi się podoba. Na razie zdjęcia z Galerii Narodowej (a w zasadzie sprzed budynku) i Muzeum Bizantyjskiego. Która sztuka ciekawsza?

Looking on this day from the perspective of almost 2 months, I have to say that we really do some sightseeing. We visited the National Gallery – Pinakoteka, Byzantine Museum, Zappeion and Olympic Stadium. I do not recommend to lonely female tourists a visit in the National Gardens – all guides keep saying that it is a fantastic place to have a rest in the shade of old trees, yes, it is truth when you are shortsighted or you are not nervous – the number of exhibitionists for each square meter behind each tree is really scary.

When it comes to the National Gallery – it is surely worth to see the works of the local artists – Lythros and Ghysis, and in my opinion the first painter was better. In from of the building you can see some modern sculptures. Opposite the building on the huge square there is also a modern sculpture of a runner who looks a little bit like a communist art because of its demotions, pathos and ideology but as a matter of fact it looks quite ok. For now pictures from the National Gallery (or rather from outside of the building) and from the Byzantine Museum. Which art do you prefer - old or new?
